We shall:
Seek the truth in all situations. (That door that just slammed could be the result of air pressure.)
Remain safe. (There's no point in putting oneself in danger, whether it's paranormal or falling over something in the dark.)
Respect the client. (They are graciously letting us on their property. We shall respect all of their wishes.)
Respect the spirits or entities. (Human spirits were once people. We shall treat them as people when identified as such.)
Provide assistance only if needed and with permission of the owner of the property. (Trying to help a spirit cross over can make things worse.)
Investigate historical claims before collection of evidence. (Not doing so could send us on a wild goose chase.)
Work as a team. (No one can do everything at once.)
Tag all audio. (A sigh can later be interpreted as an EVP.)
Take notes during the initial walk through and during evidence review. (We all forget.)
Act professionally. (Impressions are everything in the eyes of our clients.)
